SULPHUR CRESTED COCKATOO

One of the larger varieties of stunning white cockatoos is the sulphur-crested cockatoo. Compared to the lesser citron-crested cockatoo, it is a distinct species. This magnificent, energetic parrot, though magnificent in appearance, is brilliant, long-lived, and noisy, and it is very difficult to keep as a pet. This bird is recommended only for experienced owners who are up to the effort because it has high expectations of its owner. The sulphur-crested is a once-in-a-lifetime pet for an enthusiastic owner.
APPEARANCE
Sulphur-crested cockatoos have beaks that are mostly black and white. On top of their heads, they have a lovely golden feather crest. Its wings' undersides are washed in a bright yellow color.
Although the eyes of the female can be used to differentiate it from the male up close, the sexes appear to be similar. The eyes of a male are a deeper shade of brown or black. It takes the bird between three and five years to achieve maturity, at which point this differentiation becomes obvious.
Character & Behavior
Among the different species of parrots, cockatoos are a friendly species; the sulphur-crested is typical in this regard. To build a solid relationship with a bird, you must be prepared to invest the necessary time and effort. Sulphur-crested cockatoos enjoy handling, but they also want adequate alone to develop their independence, which is no easy task.
Compared to other cockatoo species, this one has more complex emotional needs as a pet and is prone to startling, unexpected actions, though they are rarely meant to be aggressive. If this demanding bird doesn't get the attention it wants, it may become abusive to itself and even dangerous. 1
They are regarded as one of the smartest parrots. They are capable of learning at the same pace as a 1- to 2-year-old human toddler.
