GREEN CHEEK MUTATIONS

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Green cheek conures have several known mutations that can affect their appearance, including:

  1. Normal Green Cheek Conure: This is the most common and natural coloration for the Green Cheek Conure. They have a bright green body, grayish head, and reddish-orange belly.

  2. Cinnamon Green Cheek Conure: These have a brownish-green body with a slightly lighter head and darker brown feathers on their wings and tail. Their belly is a lighter yellowish-orange than the normal green cheek.

  3. Yellow-sided Green Cheek Conure: These have a bright green body like the normal green cheek, but their head and upper wings are yellow, and their belly is a brighter, more vibrant orange.

  4. Pineapple Green Cheek Conure: This mutation combines the cinnamon and yellow-sided mutations, resulting in a bird with a mix of brown, yellow, and green feathers.

  5. Turquoise Green Cheek Conure: These have a bright turquoise green body with a slightly lighter head and a reddish-orange belly.

  6. Moon Cheek Conures have a light, pastel-colored face, with a pale white or cream color around their eyes and beak. Their body is a bright green color, and their belly feathers are typically a lighter, more muted shade of orange. Moon Cheek Conures may also have other mutations, such as Cinnamon or Turquoise, which further affect their coloring.

  7. Sun Cheek Conures, on the other hand, have a bright, vividly colored face with a yellow or orange-red tint. Sun Cheek Conures can also have other mutations, such as Cinnamon or Pineapple, which can further enhance their coloring.

  8. The Red Factor Green Cheek Conure is a small parrot known for its vibrant and colorful feathers. It is a mutation of the Green Cheek Conure, and has a bright red plumage on its head and upper body, with shades of green and blue on its wings and tail. Its eyes are dark and beak is black, with a light grey to white colored area around the beak.

  9. Dilute Green Cheek Conure: These have a pastel-colored body with a grayish head and a muted orange belly.
